- A critical element of Rockbrook’s investment strategy is its exclusive focus on investments or acquisitions in insurance related businesses where Rockbrook’s partners can add value from a strategic or operating perspective.
- Rockbrook is primarily interested in businesses in the Property & Casualty Insurance arena; however, Rockbrook will review select business plans in the Life and Health Insurance category.
- Rockbrook maintains a disciplined approach to evaluating investment opportunities and looks for companies that can provide a superior rate of return over a five to seven year time period.

The operating experience of the partners at Rockbrook provides the background necessary to assist in the improvement of the financial performance of specialty-line or regional companies in the insurance industry. Rockbrook is particularly interested in companies that have concentrated on developing expertise with a particular type of insurance product, or in a particular state or regional insurance market. Rockbrook will consider companies throughout the insurance industry continuum, which includes risk bearing, distribution and services businesses. |

Rockbrook typically reviews investment and acquisition opportunities with less than $20 million in enterprise value. The Company will often pursue investment opportunities with other co-investors. Rockbrook typically seeks to acquire a controlling interest in each Portfolio Company, but may elect to take a minority position in certain Portfolio Companies based on the circumstances relating to each company and the Manager’s judgment. In most cases, investments will be held for five to seven years. |

Rockbrook has analyzed investment opportunities nationwide, but has a preference for investments in the Midwest. |

Rockbrook’s investment strategy is defined by industry focus, geographical concentration, and deal size. However, within these constraints, Rockbrook will consider investment opportunities at various stages of development, with a primary emphasis on investments in established businesses. Rockbrook will also consider starting or investing in new businesses with experienced management teams in targeted industries. |
